Dlvr.it acting up sometimes #94
Comments
I have no idea who set up the dlvr.it thing :( |
I set it up. I noticed that as well. Clearly the issue seems to not be on
Dlvr.it's side but via Github / Jekyll in generating the RSS from our site.
In the events RSS feed, you see there is an empty title of the first item:
http://opensourcedesign.net/events/feed.xml
Beyond that, the source of that specific event is here:
https://github.com/opensourcedesign/events/blob/gh-pages/_posts/2016-03-01-opensourcedesign-internetfreedomfestival.md
The issue *might* be that I had added Jekyll `redirect-from` data to the or
something with the permalink is wonky. I will try to investigate more.
I guess just delete the tweet for now?!
|
Deleted the tweet. Can we also set it so that it posts the actual link instead of a dlvr.it masked link like at https://twitter.com/opensrcdesign/status/891800461061181440 Because with the masked link, Twitter doesn’t generate any preview box, and it also looks a bit shady. |
Happened again August 2: https://twitter.com/opensrcdesign/status/892746569102934020 Deleted the tweet already but would be good to get this fixed. I’d say even deactivating it is better than having these broken-looking links to outdated events in there. :\ |
Newest tweet too, just a dlvr.it link. @bnvk could you look into it? I'd prefer us needing to post manually over having strange looking link-only posts. |
There's sometimes tweets like this:
https://twitter.com/opensrcdesign/status/886892237363085312
With just the dlvr.it link, on top of it to a past event. Any idea about this @simonv3 @bnvk @belenbarrospena @ei8fdb @evalica @jdittrich? Could we make sure that doesn't happen – and if you fixed it please also delete the tweet, I only left it there so you can see. :)
