download-osm not working for germany

It looks like for whatever reason download-osm isn't working for germany. It seems that the Germany file URL https://download.geofabrik.de/europe/germany-latest.osm.pbf redirects to http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/misc/openstreetmap/download.geofabrik.de/germany-latest.osm.pbf which could be the source of the problem.

Is this due to redirect not being handled by aria2?

I just tried download-osm geofabrik germany while inside the docker run --rm -it openmaptiles/openmaptiles-tools bash -- and that seems to work fine. aria2 handles redirects, so this is not the issue. Weirdly though, download-osm germany does not work because it tries to download it from https://download.openstreetmap.fr/polygons/germany.poly and fails. Might need to dig in further.

For anyone looking, the easiest workaround that I found is to manually download the data from geofabrik.
