Hi, here https://docs.qfield.org/reference/expression_variables/?h=#qfieldcloud you write that the variable @cloud_username is available in forms or default values. I need to use it in a filter expression of a Value Relation Widget.

  • What was the reason not to add this variable as a real variable to the project?
  • Could you store the qfield cloud username in the variable @cloud_username once a QField Cloud project is loaded, so that it is available to the project like any other variable?
  • Do you know a workaround to access the qfield cloud user name in an expression?

Thanks Roland

Surely this is already a top enhancement for creating more granular permissions?
Example steps:

  • User loads QField app and QField Cloud variables are refreshed from server

  • Once the user selects the project or toggle layer visibility, layer expressions are evaluated

  • In addition, it would be hugely beneficial to have a QField Cloud variable like '@Cloud_Team'
