@lenzim97 @ulfmueller @CarlosEpia:
I created this issue to collect all branches that should be included in the next run.

Please list the branch or the corresponding PR here:

The following branches are already merged into the run-status2019...-branch:

If there is anything else I should consider, please comment here:

We should only create eGon100RE and not status2019 due to the problem described in #364 (comment)

This branch should be merged with the execution branch for the next run: https://github.com/openego/powerd-data/tree/features/PtH2_oxygen_waste_heat

Maybe add https://github.com/openego/powerd-data/tree/features/insert_h2_grid in case it works out in test mode

Compared to the previous run, the following bugs are solved:

  • There are some biogas generators with undefined buses
  • 272 of 1398 O2-buses have no attached components.
  • There are no transformers in the foreign countries, AC-buses with other voltage levels are isolated -> at least in general. There seems to be still one isolated bus in France (380kV)
  • There is no wind onshore or solar_rooftop capacity in Germany.
  • isolated H2_grid bus in Hallendorf next to Salzgitter
  • buses with only NaN values
  • Each foreign AC bus has two loads attached to it: one with a static p_set, another one with a fixed p_set. I could imagine that the new one with a fixed p_set is coming from the industry_electricity demand in pypsa-eur. Is that the case? -> Yes, see Fix/check foreign network eGon100RE #360

Things that will be solved in eTraGo:

Still open questions/remarks:

  • There is no rural_heat_pump capacity in Germany -> they seem to be there but the p_nom is zero. But I guess you will find things like this anyhow @CarlosEpia, right?
  • Standardize naming of H2 infrastructure in foreign countries. @lenzim97: Did you implement sth. there?

I was able to run an integrated LOPF with a small example of the new data (the new method is still infeasible).
There is a lot of load shedding, but at least it was feasible. Load shedding is mainly needed at rural_heat buses in Germany (I guess because of the missing heat pumps) and at foreign H2 nodes.
In this dataset, there are no inputs to foreign H2 buses, CH4_to_H2 and power_to_H2 links are missing. But this might be solved in the current run by the carrier renaming we did.
