The proctoring software that is used does not support Linux. This has been the case for more then a year while many courses even require you to use it for the assignments. EDX should consider adding a clear explanation to why it is not supported or indicate what the community could do to add it. In the case this situation does not change it should consider to make it more clear on the public pages if a course is using proctoring or not.
