I love this idea. It would be a great #maptime project using leaflet, osm tiles and the overpass API to query the OSM data and load the map data to highlight specific features (for example: http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/3Vy)

Went ahead and created a repo for this project where we can start collaborating. Checkout the wiki for some of my ideas for updating the map. Since i was just brainstorming I wasn't sure if I should be putting them as issues. @seabre thoughts?

@aplannersguide I think the wiki will be good for brainstorming. We can create issues for things as they become more concrete.

@seabre @jden Here is the wiki with my thoughts so far. I would love it if you two could add your two cents there as well. At what point do you think we should start moving some of the steps over to issues, or is that not necessary?

@aplannersguide wiki seems good for this kind of roadmap / project plan type stuff - it makes sense to switch to issues for either discussion of particular points and/or tracking progress once it actually starts being built.

The OSM mapping part of it might be a good candidate for the OSM anniversary party in early August.

@jden I think we were thinking that we could do the mapping during next Tuesday which is shaping up to be a great combined maptime / open chattanooga map and hack night. We need your help getting the word out since you seem to have the magic touch.

Happy to help spread the word! :) Is there any URL with event details? (could be an issue, public fb event, a tweet, a post on openchattanooga, w/e)
