Have a look to see if Github sponsors would be helpful for us.
It's a way to encourage people to fund projects that they are connected with gitub (via Stripe Connect, ACH transfer, or wire transfer). It's available in Australia.
It looks like Github Sponsors is for specific developers rather than organisations, so one of us can apply to be part of the program. Github match funding up to $5000 (US) and don't chargeany fees for the first year. The process looks straightforward, and Github states the application takes just a few days to review.
