Suggested solution

GitHub is pretty well indexed by search engines, and don't need as much exposure as GitLab.

Adding https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/modelops/applied-ml/code-suggestions/ai-assist doesn't do anything. No errors shown.

What requests do you need to support GitLab repos?
Can they be available from https://github.com/forgefed/forgefed ?

Thanks for the suggestion @abitrolly - OpenSauced is currently only GitHub based and we currently have no plan to introduce GitLab support: we're a small team and have chosen to focus on GitHub open source.

Where exactly did you attempt to add a gitlab repo? What steps did you take to be able to attempt that?

To my knowledge, GitLab doesn't federate out anything from their services. So we'd want to find a different approach.

From the page https://app.opensauced.pizza/workspaces/48f3dbc7-9c04-44e5-85d0-c0005ade6f4b "Add repositories" button. Search doesn't work. Import allows to add repo, but after "Update Workspace" it is gone.

Not quite right. There is this epic https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/11247 and because GitLab is Open Source, if you post a list of ForgeFed requests needed to support integration, somebody (maybe even me, but unlikely as I need to find paid job) can add the support.
