There have been a few commits since last version update. A new version tag would help me update my distribution.

Done and have released v1.6.0.

Something is wrong. If I click on commit for v1.6.0 on github.com, it says it's not in any branch in the repository. Are you sure you merged this?

Also, when in my cloned repository, I have the same problem:

# git branch --all --contains v1.6.0
#
