I suggest a generic "Closed" status be added to the list of standard values for StatusCurrentMapped. Some final statuses like "Withdrawn" or "Admin Close" are not appropriate to map to the existing values. Also, some permit types are closed upon issuance (without inspection).

I propose to also add a new "Application Submitted" status to the list of standard values. In many cases it is possible that the permit application has been submitted, but still not accepted for review (i.e. it has not been checked by clerks for missing documentation). There is no way to capture this state right now before the application is accepted for review.
When you are trying to map a value (not just this particular one) that does not have a logical mapping, is it better to leave the mapped value blank or make up our own mapped value? I realize it probably takes time to come to a consensus and update the spec, but just that guideline would be helpful for those of us trying to implement the spec now.
