We shotgun to run development server for the API, it is nice because it supports live reloading meaning you can see any change you made in the code each time you refresh the request, without restart all the server each time.
The issue it is not maintained anymore and no more support ruby 3.

I did a temporary fix here 205b826, by forking the library and adapting the code to work with ruby 3.2.
