Browser&Mouse Back/Forward has impact on url, but not on tabs

When I navigate through my tabs #tabs-1 -> #tabs-4 -> #tabs-3 -> #tabs-2
and try to navigate backwards with the browser or mouse buttons the
url in the browser address line changes, but the active tab does not. Ideas?
