currently the OSO FS reports lcp, rcp also for the VGOS tels. But they really have hor/ver. Do you know where I should change to specify this, in the rxg file? I've just used the lcp/rcp for now to keep things simple, it's just a labeling thing anyway. But would be nice to get it right.

yes of course, but it is somewhat down the priority list. For now, we use the “usual” convention that polarizations are in alphabetical order (in English) for any given polarization scheme.
Type pol 1 pol 2
----- ————— ———
linear horizontal vertical
CP left right
?? X Y
It is a kludge, but it works well enough for now. At some point I suppose we might get a type where this won't work anymore. Then we will have to bite the bullet, if haven’t already fixed it by then.
I still think this is a low-prio issue, but noting it here so it's not forgotten. I assume the pols "X/Y" can/should be used for VGOS-like systems observing in linear polarisation (but hor/ver could perhaps also work).
