I got the following error because of IREE's change iree-org/iree#19714

unused_prog_name: Unknown command line argument '--iree-hip-legacy-sync=0'. Try: 'unused_prog_name --help'

Need to remove --iree-hip-legacy-sync=0 from sdxl_flagfile_gfx942.txt.

When filing a bug report, please include these details at a minimum:

  • Any relevant software versions (e.g. git commits if you built from source, package versions if you installed from stable or nightly packages)
  • What you tried to do (specific commands you tried to run)
  • What you expected to happen
  • What happened instead

The specific versions used matter here, since stable and nightly releases should be insulated from that flag change. I suspect you are using a source build at currently incompatible versions.

In this case, we have new automation that tries to update the pinned versions of IREE across shark-ai, including the IREE runtime commit used by shortfin where that flag would be checked. The current pull request for that is #835, where there is a discussion thread about that flagfile already. We also have a discussion ongoing over here on Discord.
