Updating Interfaces in Device Type does not reflect on assigned device

Hi there,
Is there a way to update the already defined interfaces (or other changes) if I add another interface to a device type?
The only way I can get it to "work" is to recreate the device from the start, and then it gets the interface defined...
Would be nice if there was a "update from type"... ?
