Historically, KSP poofs flying vessels when they got out of the physics range, and this can be a serious problem for sky divers - as anyone can easily see.

Using Physics Range Extender can mitigate a bit the problem, but it doesn't solves it.

Find a solution for the problem:

  1. Teletransport the Kerbal to the ground?
    • They would be land safely anyway, as the chute is trimmed to a safe descent position when deployed.
    • How to cope with hazard landing sites? Random kill them if the terrain below is too steep?
  2. Auto recover them?
    • Ditto about hazard landing sites.
