My suggestion here is we take in consideration make a transcription of the video to English. A plus would be allow translations from other people, but if the video already have a transcription written in English in an easy form, it is possible that even without from revisions of manual translations, the automatic translations from a reviewed transcription would be relatively acceptable by default.

By the way, my 6 year old niece loves YouTube and creates things, but she still does not know English besides some numbers. And kids love interactive stuff and videos :)
