Sometimes the cursor jumps to the end of input

When I highlight the number and overwrite it with the new value, the cursor sometimes jumps to the end of the input. I expect the cursor should be on the left of the dot.

This only happens when I select all values by mouse, guess due to the mouse position. If I use the combination ctrl + A, the cursor always works properly.
