We are wondering if this is a good idea. These are our considerations:

  1. We are seeing discussion that IPSEC IKEv2 is preferable as a server that accepts device client connections for security and performance reasons.
  2. OpenVPN seems easier to implement and manage. Wondering if we can use PFSense to manage accounts easily with IPSEC IKEv2 tunnels?
  3. OpenVPN has a lot of client implementations and support. There are cross-platform strongswan clients that from what i gather are pretty reliable. How does this compare to OpenVPN clients? Are we at least onpar, or will see an improvement?
