#74 triggered me a little.
It changes a lot of informal phrasing to formal phrasing.
Why? What am I missing?

Can't we use informal voice?
Reasoning:

  • this is a game and a casual one too
  • we are in the 21st century, who is still so stuck up that they need a game to be formal with them

Hint: if you are using translators, add a name to your sentence:
"John, please open the gate." instead of just "please open the gate."
Most translators pick up on that and give you the informal variant.
To be sure to get formal voice do: "Mr Smith, please open the gate."
or "Sir, please open the gate." usually works too.

On a side-note: let's please also use as many language specific terms as possible and minimize the English terms in translations. The whole point of translating is to make the game accessible to players who don't know English in the first place.

+1 for the informal phrasing, minetest isn't a business

The formal version is currently only in de and fr right? This won't be that much work to change...
