When I started learning about React I was really excited to build and deploy a basic portfolio site on GitHub, but I had no idea where to start. My goal for this project was to provide a beginner, like myself, an easy way to get started with a basic portfolio site that could leverage their own GitHub data and be easily deployed with GitHub Pages.

By providing your GitHub username in one line of code, you can leverage the GitHub REST API to dynamically fetch and surface your basic profile information.
