The files in the release tab do not have any extensions. It's not zip, exe or anything else. What are these files supposed to be?? And what in particular is the Windows amd64 file?

judging by a hexdump of the file, it looks like a standard .exe file
"amd64" just means it's compiled for the x86_64 architecture

I only just noticed this now. Yeah, they're binaries. Linux and macOS don't use file extensions for binaries, and I didn't think to add them for Windows. I don't think Windows actually requires them either, but you can add .exe if you want.
