Please add support for filter codes in the main menu: https://moodle.org/plugins/filter_filtercodes

It will enhance this excellent theme with a lot more extra options!

Dear @Richardvi

thank you for your request. In order to find out what exactly is not working as it should and to be able to identify where the problem is originating from It would be very helpful for us:

  • if you added the exact steps to reproduce and to specify with screenshot. Filter codes are actually supported in all locations where filters are supported (e.g. the multilang filter).
  • maybe clarify with a quick test on https://sandbox.moodledemo.net whether is it a Boost or a Boost Union issue?

Kind regards on behalf of the DEV team
Wiebke

Hi Wiebke,

I'm not reporting a bug. I'm requesting a feature. What I am requesting is that Filter Codes work in the custom menu.

For more info, see https://github.com/michael-milette/moodle-filter_filtercodes/blob/master/README.md#enabling-filtercodes-in-the-custom-menu--primary-navigation

Hi Richard,

thanks for clarifying. As I said, please note we'd need some more information, that is why we created a template for feature requests. E.g. it also has to be kept in mind, that with boost union, you can add smart menus, which would then probably also be affected and need to be considered in this request.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
A clear and concise description of what the problem is. Ex. I'm always frustrated when [...]

Describe the solution you'd like
Add your user story - a clear and concise description of what you want to happen.
e.g.:

  • As a teacher I would like ...
  • As a student I would like ...

Describe alternatives you've considered
A clear and concise description of any alternative solutions or features you've considered.

Additional context
Add any other context or screenshots about the feature request here.

If by any chance you are a developper, you can also think of handing in a PR. For now we are running very short on development and peer review resources.

Kind regards
Wiebke

Hi Wiebke,
I have asked the creator and maintainer of Filter Codes to reply here. Of he has time, I bet he can explain it better.

It probably has to do with enabling filters in the custom menu, but I'm not sure.

Perhaps this tracker also explains it better: https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MDL-63219
