Error on create new linked item when a non-required field is null

Hi - first of, thank you for this extension, we use it frequently for many different purposes.

I am trying to have a child work item created, which is normally not an issue. However, we have a scenario where a new field that is set to copy from parent to child in the template may not contain a value. If the parent field is null, the extension errors that the value cannot be null on the child, even though the field is not required on the child. Is there any way to have the template accommodate this?

"ADD A NEW LINKED WORK ITEM : Could not create work item. Error: Value cannot be null.. Please check the template used in this action."
