It's too easy to permanently delete a message #1782
Comments
TBH I think a trash bin is best which automatically purges every 30 days so you're not caught out by a very limited opportunity to reverse the deletion. |
Please add a trash bin. |
Upvoting this. Just accidentally deleted SMS with my parcel details. Now new quest "try your best to get your parcel without this SMS" awaits me... Simple confirmation as suggested in #1811 / #1307 can prevent such situations in future. Having Recycle Bin would be nice, however confirmation dialog is a must. And I think that "delete to Recycle Bin" should be optional. I.e. it shall be possible to disable it in Settings. Kind of my personal view on privacy. E.g. I always disable Recycle Bin feature for Gallery apps. |

I wanna emphasize the importantness. |
Happened to me one minute ago because I wanted to touch the information button but my finger was a little too much on the right :( So I upvote this. |
Confirming, just add a confirmation dialog, it's good enough and I hope easy enough. |
This app just screwed me big time. It's extremely easy to delete a message when you have to copy it. My entire weekend is now ruined because I needed a GPS address. What a disaster! |
