I'm having issue getting this to work on SL 6.3. A readme file with directions on how to install/setup would be great. Even trying to install libraries through conda is running into issues. marching cubes conda installation saying that it is python 2.7 only, vol2mesh.py seems to be python 3.X only.

Hey yeah, sorry about that, I'll need to make a few modifications this weekend to make it user-friendly.

Give me until Monday and it'll be much nicer.

Thanks!

Thanks. I think I got it work after getting Stuart to create a python 3 conda install of marching cubes. I keep getting this warning when I run it, the script completes but it doesn't seem to find tifffile.c file that is in the directory.

/groups/flyem/home/flyem/bin/vol2mesh/tifffile.py:271: UserWarning: failed to import the optional _tifffile C extension module.
Loading of some compressed images will be very slow.
Tifffile.c can be obtained at http://www.lfd.uci.edu/~gohlke/

Gotcha, great! Yes, that warning is from tifffile, it has an optional C package that helps compress/decompress images. You should be fine without it.
