I figured out how to get his to work. Are the authors interested in this change being implemented (with an update to the documentation showing how to use the additional YAML header)? If so, I can put in a PR. |

@KC3DRU I'll put in a PR with the changes and some details. That way it'll be accessible. It's a simple change in only a couple of places. Getting the YAML right was the hard part. |
I've included a pull request that implements the \skills argument (but not the \skillstext). I've texted it locally with success. |

Many templates provide a section for skills, which should be possible to include via vitae.
The YAML header is probably the right place for this.
