Many templates provide a section for skills, which should be possible to include via vitae.
The YAML header is probably the right place for this.

Hi @mitchelloharawild , I was wondering if a key for skills in the YAML header has been added?
I am trying to develop my CV using the 20second template with the skill progress bars. If it has not, do you mind giving me some pointers on how to get it displayed? am i missing something?

Hi @labouz, it is not currently possible to include skills in the twentyseconds template (this is what this issue is for). If you need to include skills, you could probably add them directly to the tex file (https://github.com/mitchelloharawild/vitae/blob/master/inst/rmarkdown/templates/twentyseconds/resources/twentysecondstemplate.tex) and use the new file as the tex template (see pdf_document docs for how this is done).

I figured out how to get his to work. Are the authors interested in this change being implemented (with an update to the documentation showing how to use the additional YAML header)?

If so, I can put in a PR.

@JaySumners I'm interested in seeing how you did it.

@KC3DRU I'll put in a PR with the changes and some details. That way it'll be accessible. It's a simple change in only a couple of places. Getting the YAML right was the hard part.

I've included a pull request that implements the \skills argument (but not the \skillstext). I've texted it locally with success.

Hi experts,

May I get details on how to make a skills-section in cv?

Best,
Muyao
