Person component shows empty heads

I have

<Person personQuery={params.data.RequestFor.Email}  
            showPresence={true} view={PersonViewType.oneline}
            personCardInteraction={PersonCardInteraction.click} />

in an SPFx web part showing many times with different users.

It worked fine until I upgraded to mgt-spfx-2.6.0.sppkg
Then users started seeing the empty heads instead. Cleared the cache then it would show for an hour and the again just heads.
I downgraded to 2.5.2 but that did not help.

Do people have same issue? is there a better way to deal with it?

This does sound like a caching issue given that it happened again an hour after clearing the cache.
What version of mgt-spfx were you using previously?

Do I need to clear Cache in the code? set it up differently?
