Discussed in OMP call on 9/6/2018. Agreed that these terms are redundant. Make diameter a narrow synonym of width. Michelle suggested merging the terms.

I reread the term definitions and realized that the diameter terms are for cell shapes that have a circular cross section, e.g. cocci, rods, vibrio. The width term is for microbial cells that don't have a circular cross section, such as Waley's square archaeon.
Jim suggested that we rearrange the terms, so that 'diameter phenotypes' are children of 'width phenotypes.'
Michelle, Jim, and Debby discussed this during the call on 7/11/2019. Michelle doesn't think that diameter is a subclass of width. We came to the consensus that there will be terms for cell width phenotypes and cell diameter can be a narrow synonym. @dsiegele will merge the terms and edit the definitions.
During the discussion, Jim asked if there are OMP terms that would capture changes in the tightness or looseness of the spirals in spiral-shaped bacteria. There isn't. @dsiegele will make a tracker item for this.
