CUDA Thrust Library not being detected

Hi all,
I am trying to link to the CUDA thrust library on my system. I am able to properly link to the cufft library. I think the problem may be that the module for thrust is located in $CUDA_HOME/include/thrust rather than just $CUDA_HOME/include. I am unable to test this however since I do not have sudo permissions on the system in question.

Is there a way to enable meson to recursively search through the include library or to specify to look in thrust folder? Using the include_directories command didn't work for me since this wasn't a local directory.

Steps to reproduce:
0. Ensure CUDA is installed.

1. meson init --language=cuda --name=cuda_tet --version=0.1
2. modify meson.build to

Thrust is a header only library and does not need to be listed as a module.
