Can't install gem

when I do gem install backbone-on-rails

I'm getting this error:
ERROR: Could not find a valid gem 'eco-source' (>= 0) in any repository ERROR: Possible alternatives: to_source, chsource, taosource, epf-source, outsource

I got it working, I believe it's a bug from the rubygems sites. I downgraded to gem -v 2.2.2

I'm having this same issue... Is this gem still being maintained? Is the eco-source gem being maintained? What should I be using instead? I tried the backbone-rails gem but they only have coffeescript generators...
