I added a new chrome cast device to my network, and it was not detected. I tried rebooting, and it still wasn't found.
Is the program supposed to detect new devices automatically? I couldn't find a way to invoke a search for new devices....
I tried deleting the device-cache.json file in %appdata%\roaming\audio-cast\ thinking that without the file it would search for all devices and create the file. However, this did not work.
What did work is manually adding the new device into the device-cache.json file. I went to the Vizio app I had on my phone for the new Vizio device I added, selected settings/network, to get the new device's IP address. Then I manually added it to the device-cache.json file.
e.g.
{"192.168.1.2":"Family Room TV","192.168.1.22":"VIZIO Crave 1, "192.168.1.23":"VIZIO Crave 2"}
