Historic Forecast API

It would be really helpful to my research to be able to access not just current forecasts, but historical forecasts (https://www.ncdc.noaa.gov/data-access/model-data/model-datasets/national-digital-forecast-database-ndfd). In particular, I would want to be able to choose a geography and then get forecasts by historical forecast date for precipitation and min/max temp.

We are currently exploring options at Cornell for enabling this type of analysis. I will keep you updated on our progress. We will likely be developing something totally new, which will replace pyndfd.

Hi, just to update on this, my work on historical NDFD/NDGD data is going to be integrated here:

I may also still update this module to work with historical data too.
