I've came across a minority of drives that support smart data but have it disabled. This enhancement will detect a drive that supports smart data but has smart data disabled and enable it before creating the PDF report/certificate.

Yes I can confirm this. I've seen multiple (older) drives with this behaviour in a span of 5 years when I was using PartedMagic (as an alternative to when DBAN wouldn't work). gsmartcontrol included in PartedMagic would have a field called SMART enabled and it would show as unchecked (and no SMART data like Temp. or PowerOn Hours or Number of Reallocated Sectors was shown) , however I was able to checkbox it, and afterwards the SMART data would populate. Really odd. I was always wondering what's causing this. Thanks for implementing the check for this behaviour and 'fixing'/enabling SMART.
