Getting JQMIGRATE: jQuery.fn.focus() event shorthand is deprecated.. jquery 3.6.x ..

the kind AI bot recommends, though /me don't want to muck around within js source code without knowing too much ..
perhaps a try-catch block might also cause it to be safer..

Instead of .focus( handler ) or .focus( eventData, handler ), use .on( "focus", handler ) or .on( "focus", eventData, handler ), respectively.

Instead of .focus(), use .trigger( "focus" ).
