Incorrect Positioning of Intermediate Points When Drawing Polygons

4. Notice that the intermediate points are incorrectly positioned

Actual Behavior

Any fix for this? I think this relates to the map projection. The polygon has straight lines, but in reality, the shortest distance between 2 points in this map projection would appear as a curved line, so I'm guessing the midpoint corresponds with the geocoordinates of the midpoint on that invisible curved line.
