HA has Backup and Restore functionality for the entire config. Tuya local is part of that. |

I know that I can backup and restore HA but there was something in the config that was preventing File Editor and node red from showing, I was getting a blank page. I did a restore and the error followed. I tried editing .storage file and adding only the tuya entries to it but it kept moving them to deleted entities. What am I missing? |

Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a way to back up and restore all devices added through Tuya Local. I currently have 134 Tuya devices, and after a catastrophic failure, I had to completely rebuild my Home Assistant setup. Unfortunately, I lost all my Tuya Local configurations in the process.
Now, after another issue, I’m rebuilding again—but this time, I still have access to the previous install, which still has all 134 entities intact. While that installation isn’t stable enough for daily use, it is accessible.
Before moving forward, I want to find a way to back up and transfer my Tuya Local entities to the new setup instead of having to manually reconfigure everything. Is there a method to export these configurations and migrate them cleanly?
Any insights would be greatly appreciated!
