When I was trying to the tutorial http://lifeasclay.wordpress.com/2011/02/13/connecting-nsoutlineview-to-core-data-in-10-6-part-1-ordered-trees/ in a RubyMotion way I experienced that the words "Group" for entity and "Name" for attribute are some how reserved. I had to rename them to make everything working. Is this correct?

Possibly, I don't think this would be a RubyMotion related issue. I'm honestly not sure where to even check in Apple's documentation for such things, but it seems like reasonable reserved words for those attributes in CoreData to me.

"Group" and "name" normally work in Core Data. For description I'm not sure.

Share a stack trace or screenshot then? Interesting indeed

Oke, 'name' is working. Group seems really to be a reserved word in rubymotion and not in obj-c. clone this to see it:
https://github.com/mipmip/mdatawrapper-reserved-words. There are no error messages. data model below.
