Just updated Chrome to 130.0.6723.59 (I don't have any control over that.) but even before then, the extension icon has stopped responding in any useful way. If you click on it, the 4 options appear, but you can't choose any of them. You can click on eg "Debug" and the background color changes to blue, but the popup stays open and the extension does not change to Debug mode.

Also, shift-option (aka "alt")-x does not do anything on the Mac. I never tried it before, when the extension was working, so I don't know if that's significant or not.

This was all working a few hours ago. I don't think that there would have been two updates of Chrome, but since it's being updated by our IT dept without my involvement, I couldn't swear that hadn't happened. There is language like "Warning this extension may be removed" but it's still there in the App Store for me.

I tried removing it and re-enabling it, no joy.

I'm on Mac OS 14.7.

Inspecting the popup, Chrome shows these errors

Unchecked runtime.lastError: Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist. Error handling response: TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'status') at chrome-extension://eadndfjplgieldjbigjakmdgkmoaaaoc/popup.js:64:42
