Can't install from Add Widgets and discover installs older version

This is the same bug as luisbocanegra/plasma-panel-modes-switcher#3

I have now opened a bug report about this problem on KDE Bugzilla https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=482349 hopefully they are able to figure out why this is happening and can fix this soon. Fixed for Frameworks 6.1

As a workaround download the plasmoid file and install manually with kpackagetool6 (change -i to -u for upgrading)

kpackagetool6 -t Plasma/Applet  -i /path/to/plasmoid/plasmoid-name.plasmoid

Pretty sure this is fixed now. I couldn't update the existing version, it had an 'update' button which did nothing, so I removed it and added the latest version and it seems to behave.

Thanks for the reminder, unfortunately Discover still installs the oldest version, but that's being worked on and hopefully will be fixed soon https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=482534
