No potential recipients are initially selected although there's a default selection set within the potential groups.

I encountered that when a user opens Qucikmail, there's a initial selection within the potential groups area but there is no corresponding initial selection in the potential recipients area:

I had a quick look into your JS code and I cannot find code that would initialise this.
It would be great if you could add this initial corresponding selection of the potential recipients.

Great find! I'm actually working on this part right now for Quickmail 2 and saw this as well. Will definitely be fixed. I'll keep this issue open just as a reminder.

Hey @chadmazilly, I don't know what's the status of Quickmail 2, but if you already have a fix for this problem, would it be possible for you to backport it to Quickmail 1 and publish it in the Moodle plugin repo?

Hey @abias, I will look into this next when I am merging in Kathrin's PR. Seems like it would be an easy fix and good improvement. As for Quickmail 2, development is pretty far along and we should have a release within February for sure. I have kept the user selection feature on the backburner and my plan is to tackle that last. It will likely be completely changed to cut down on all of the selection lists you see and make it easier to simply send a message to a specific role or group. However, we'll still need to keep the selection options very granular at the same time. I doubt I'll be able to backport it because of all the breaking changes, but will do my best after Quickmail 2 is released.
