inspect Aladin lite for available surveys

Just to say I really like the new AladinLite, its a brilliant project, and I thank the you and tax-payers of France for providing the world with this. We are using it several ways in the Lasair transient broker.

A question came up in our meeting today -- can we switch automatically to the best survey for a given sky position?

For example: we like the DECaLS survey where available, but if not we want PannSTARRS, and if that is not available then SDSS, and if nothing else then DSS. A sequence of preferences, so we always see the sky, and never get a black square of no data.

thinking a bit more about your request, what you could already do is setup an Aladin Lite instance with several layers.

Something like this:

In this example, base layer is DSS2 color, and overlays are SDSS, DECaPS and DESI Legacy Survey.
