Thread view opens when clicking on a pdf link in chat

Describe the bug

When clicking on a pdf in the chat, the thread view is shown with the pdf viewer opening and closing very quickly. Opening the pdf from the thread view works fine.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to a chat containing a pdf.
2. Click on the pdf to open the pdf viewer.
3. Verify that the bottom sheet opens and closes very quickly and you get redirected to the thread view.

Expected behavior
The thread view should not be opened and only the pdf view should be opened.
