This may have come up before.
When changing the status to published, the I have reviewed this content is checked and a new review date is added.
This does not happen if content is edited and already published.
This caused some confusion at BHCC when an editor was editing a page that had already fallen into review but had not been reviewed yet, as they could not work out why there changes where not being published.

So I make the change on the page, save it without changing the ‘current state’ and then the page goes into unpublished mode.

If there is reason for this, maybe it could be made an option to set it to update the review as presumably the page being edited means it's being also reviewed?
