Looking at #177, it looks like code was pushed in that should allow multiple fan speeds; I'm using macfan on Ubuntu 18.04 on a 27.5" iMac. It has 3 fans and 5 sensors. I tried editing the /etc/macfan.conf file to have separate min/max fan speeds as reported under /sys/devices/platform/applesmc.768/ but when I restart, macfan doesn't seem to be controlling the speeds, all 3 fans stick at about 2000rpm. If I revert back to just having the one min/max fan speed settings, it works fine. I don't see any notes detailing how the configuration file should be set, so is there any other declaration needed to enable multiple fan speed support?

Trying to use mbpfan on a 24" imac, I have the same problem, it seems only one temp is read, and the 3 fans speeds are raised simultinaously. I my case it leads to the HDD fan super loud at 5000 rpm when it's the CPU who is heating up.
it seems the max and min speed control only the ODD fan in my case. @dnear1 : did you find a workaround by any chance?
