Plugin stops working after entering special symbols in the search field.

Steps to reproduce:

Click on country code dropdown
Enter special symbols in the search field (for example *, (, ), +, ?)

Actual result: Plugin stops working

Expected result: Plugin works correctly even after entering specials characters into the search field.

Env: Windows 7/ Chrome 64; FF 58; IE 11;
