I have been using it for many years but its getting old and crashes about once a month and needs to rebuild its cache. In the end, this app was built on the Android Oreo API version. I really think it's time to find an alternative.

Over the years I was working on and off on fixing some of the issues with the app but I never properly put those efforts together and by now the project is very much dead so I don't expect it to be revived again and my changes to be merged. But, last year someone re-inquired about my current progress which promted me to at least finish up my existing work. Together with a few other fixes and adaptations to newer android versions I posted a provisional build on the release page of my fork:
https://github.com/SebiderSushi/FAST/releases

It's a proper release build signed with my signing key and with its own package name, so it'll install alongside the official version. You may decide to trust a random apk posted by a stranger on the internet. If you don't, feel free to build your own apk if you happen to be familiar with it or want to try it out for fun - it should "just work" if you follow a tutorial on how to set up Android Studio, import the project and hit compile.

The build requires at least android 2.0 (SDK level 5) and targets android 12L (SDK level 32).

I've had it running without any noticeable issues on two different devices running android 8, android 10 and 11 over the past year. So the build should be fine but do keep in mind that I don't intend to work on this any further and that I posted the build to finally tidy up and publish the work that I had lying around unfinished for years. If anyone else actually wants to maintain this project do feel free to merge in that code.

As for alternatives I never found another app with quite the same premise as FAST so sorry on that front.
