Dyson Pure Humidity+Cool no longer responsive after IP change #211
Comments
It just occurred to me that I also upgraded from a Raspberry Pi 3 to 4 and restored from backup. So that's another change |
I had a similar issue where I set a static IP for my Dyson Pure and the integration could no longer detect it. I deleted the integration in HA and then went through the setup process again (the "Setup automatically with your MyDyson Account" option). After that my device was discovered and working again. |
Yea that's what I ended up doing as well so it's working again. I think I'm so used to HomeBridge that I expected there would be a file somewhere I can open to change the IP address but if it exists I couldn't find it. |
@mrjcohen technically that file exists, but it's deep in the guts of the home assistant config directory. But I'll still keep this in mind to see if I can either better expose IP configuration, or improve the zeroconf resolution of IP addresses, as I continue to maintain the project. I'll leave this issue open for now to help me remember that promise 😅. |
Thank you for all the hard work! With out smartypants like you, dummies like me would be screwed :) |
I got a new home network switching from 192.168.5.0 /24 to 192.168.10.0 /24 and now the Dyson device is no longer responsive.
This might be as simple as updating the IP address in a file somewhere but if that's the case I'm too much of a Home Assistant noob to know where that might be
