Script for mapping airline routes using OpenFlights data combined with NASA's night lights images

The script covers
- downloading and processing data on international flight routes, airlines, and airports
- calculating great circle distances between airports
- importing and rendering night lights images from NASA's Earth Observatory
- mapping flight routes of selected airlines (Lufthansa, Emirates, British Airways) on night lights images
using data provided by OpenFlights.org.
