This sample demonstrates how to control the HC-SR04 ultrasonic ranging module and integrate it to the Android SensorManager.

Pre-requisites

  • Android Things compatible board
  • Android Studio 3.1+
  • 1 HC-SR04 sensor
  • jumper wires
  • 1 breadboard

Build and install

On Android Studio, click on the "Run" button.

If you prefer to run on the command line, from this repository's root directory, type

./gradlew sample-hcsr04:installDebug
adb shell am start com.leinardi.android.things.sample.hcsr04/.DistanceActivity

If you have everything set up correctly, in the logcat will be printed the values from the ultrasonic ranging module.
